August 2025 - August is the right time to prepare the website for the September restart. New students, families, volunteers and returning members will all be looking for clear, current information.
Build the autumn landing page
A simple autumn page can bring together the restart information that would otherwise be scattered across notices, emails and social posts.
- Groups: Show when small groups, children, youth and courses restart.
- Serving: List the volunteer roles that need people now, with realistic time commitments.
- Newcomers: Make welcome events and Sunday basics prominent.
Audit old seasonal content
Before September arrives, remove anything that makes the site feel behind: summer banners, old event pages and forms that are no longer monitored.
- Replace summer homepage panels with autumn content.
- Archive old events rather than leaving them visible.
- Check every primary button on the homepage and templates page.
September is easier when the website has already done the organising work.
Use this month well
Use August to prepare the autumn routes, tidy seasonal leftovers and make sure your most important calls to action have enough breathing room.
Ask Intent to review your church website if you want a clearer structure, cleaner templates, or a calmer route from first visit to real connection.
